Join us November 3-5, 2022
We’ll begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday evening and end by 3 p.m. on Saturday.
5607 Weddington Road
Weddington, North Carolina
(just outside of Charlotte)
Tickets go on sale Thursday, June 9th, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

What previous conference attendees have to say:
BROOKE CALDWELL
"Wow!! The absolute BEST writing conference I’ve ever attended! Thank you to everyone who made it possible."
LINDA HOLATA
"I made a choice to do something for me, a choice to attend this conference. I’m so happy I did because at first I thought it was selfish, but after all the talks I know I made a brave choice to allow my soul to breathe again. Thank you, hope*writers."
SHERI WRIGHT GIRGENTI
"It was my first ever writing conference, and I may now be spoiled for any others! I wasn’t even a member, and I wasn’t sure I belonged there, but I was welcomed and I’m a hope*writer now. I am still getting used to calling myself a writer."
JULI SCHAFER
"Feeling so exhilarated, validated, and grateful. Thank you."

Still deciding? Here are more perks!
The VIP Experience
Do you have a great book idea you want personal feedback on? Want to share your book proposal with a publishing professional? Be sure to grab one of our limited VIP tickets. Here’s everything that’s included in the VIP experience:
- A 15-minute one-on-one appointment with an editor or agent: This is your chance to pitch and get feedback on your book proposal, ask your most pressing questions, or get personalized advice from a seasoned pro. These appointments will happen during the conference, so prepare to miss a few minutes of one of the sessions. We are still finalizing the list of editors and agents who will join us in November, but you will have the opportunity to see the list in advance of the conference and request your preference. We cannot guarantee you will receive your top choice, but we will prioritize your request based on the order in which you bought your ticket.
Hope*writers has built strong relationships with countless publishing professionals over the past seven years, and you can expect to meet with an agent or an editor from organizations such as Baker Publishing Group, The Bindery, InterVarsity Press, Illuminate Literary Agency, Punchline Agency, Alive Literary Agency, and Gardner Literary Agency. - Q&A with the co-founders: During the conference, you'll be invited to a Q&A with hope*writers co-founders Emily P. Freeman, Brian Dixon, and Gary Morland. You'll also have an opportunity to meet and greet some of the conference speakers.
- Catered lunches: The VIP experience includes on-site catered lunches on both Friday and Saturday.
- Preferred seating: You'll be allowed entrance into the conference hall 15 minutes early so you can grab that front row seat — or that back row aisle.
- Conference recordings: Finally, you’ll also receive access to all of the conference recordings so you can watch what you missed during your publishing appointment or return to a favorite keynote session weeks after you get home.
Professional Headshots
Every serious writer needs a professional headshot. If you need to update yours or have never had one at all, consider adding a headshot photo session to your ticket purchase for only $100. The session itself will be quick and painless! You’ll receive digital files you can use on your social media, your website, and even the back cover of your book. (You’ll be able to add this to your ticket purchase upon checkout.)
The hope*writers Bookstore
If you’ve self-published or traditionally published a book, you’re welcome to include it in the hope*writers bookstore. To participate, bring up to five physical copies of your book with you to the conference and drop them off at the bookstore on the first night of the conference (Thursday, November 3rd). We will NOT be able to receive your books after this time.
A hope*writers staff member will include your books in the hope*writers bookstore on Friday and Saturday. For every book that sells, you will receive store credit to the bookstore to use while you’re at the conference. At the end of the conference, pick up any remaining copies before you leave. We will not be able to ship books back to you.
Lifetime Members Reception
We're inviting all lifetime members who purchase a conference ticket to a reception on Thursday night. Light refreshments and drinks will be provided. This is your chance to interact with other lifetime members, the hope*writers team, and our speakers and workshop leaders. Want in on this event? Click here to upgrade your membership or join as a lifetime member before October 1st to be included in this exclusive reception.

"I came a little nervous, feeling awkward and shy, brave and unsure. Through the rich, wonderful teaching and connection with brand-new friends, I was filled to overflowing. I left with a bounce to my step, a huge smile, and shining eyes, wishing it didn't have to end. To my surprise, I never hit information overload. I just felt very glad and grateful and inspired."
